Under National Security Act Section 5a), it is a primary task of the AH to detect and prevent any activity, political, economic and financial information gathering, and any attempt to make influences by foreign secret services which violate the interests of Hungary, and to find out the modus operandi of the hostile party.
The Constitution Protection Office lays special emphasis on informing secret holders, the need to adopt the right security attitude and behaviour, and on preventing any unauthorised access to classified data and confidential information.
It is a complex security challenge to perform a successful control of their activities and to detect their modus operandi, which become more and more efficient as a result of technical advancement, thus the Constitution Protection Office performs regular exchanges of experience with the services of allied countries.
